At HCP Architecture & Engineering, on Thursday, September 3rd, we celebrated a particularly significant milestone in our history: our 40th anniversary. This occasion gave us the opportunity to bring together more than 300 clients, collaborators, employees, and friends of the company to reflect on the journey we have shared over the past four decades and to recognise all those who have contributed to shaping HCP along the way.
The celebration took place in Málaga and also served as the setting for the official presentation of our new brand identity. This evolution stems from the need to express more clearly who we are today as a multidisciplinary and international organisation, while reflecting the experience, knowledge, and capabilities we have built over the last 40 years.
Four Decades of Growth and Evolution
During the event, we looked back on some of the key milestones that have shaped our journey since the founding of HCP 40 years ago.
Our story has been defined by continuous evolution, the incorporation of new capabilities, adaptation to changes within the industry, and an increasingly global perspective on architecture, engineering, and urban planning.
Above all, it is a story built by people. Professionals who have been part of different stages of the company and whose talent, commitment, and dedication have made HCP’s growth over the past four decades possible.
The People Driving Our Future
If there is one thing we have learned throughout these four decades, it is that no company reaches such a milestone without the commitment of the people behind it.
For this reason, we wanted to dedicate an important part of the celebration to recognising those who have helped build HCP throughout the years.
During the event, HCP partners José Luis Moreno and Mario Romero took part in the programme. Their professional journeys reflect careers developed within the organisation itself and demonstrate a culture built on effort, talent, and shared growth.
In addition, the celebration highlighted the continuity of the project and the role that new generations will play in its future development.
Javier Higuera and Jacobo Higuera, both partners at HCP, joined Elena Pérez, Internal Projects Coordinator, to share their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges that will shape the years ahead. They also reaffirmed our commitment to continued growth while preserving the values that have defined HCP throughout its 40-year history.
Thank You to Those Who Have Placed Their Trust in Us
The anniversary was also an opportunity to thank the clients who have accompanied HCP throughout much of its journey.
During the celebration, we presented commemorative recognitions to Grupo Cuevas, Prasa, Monthisa, Vimpyca, and Kronos. These recognitions acknowledged their role in our history and the trust they have placed in us throughout different projects and stages of growth.
Moreover, this gesture reflected something that has always been at the heart of the way we work: the value of long-term relationships built on trust.
A New Identity to Express Who We Are Today
One of the highlights of the evening was the official unveiling of our new brand identity.
This evolution is built around a central idea: Capable Architecture. It represents the ability to integrate knowledge, experience, technical expertise, and a global vision to respond to complex projects through a multidisciplinary approach.
One of the most distinctive elements of this new identity is the plus (+) symbol. It represents the combination of disciplines, people, and capabilities that define the way we work.
Since our beginnings, this idea has guided our vision and continues to shape the way we approach every project.
Ultimately, this new brand is more than a visual change. It represents the natural evolution of HCP and provides a more accurate expression of the organisation we have become after 40 years of growth and experience.
Acknowledgements
At HCP, we would like to thank all the people, companies, and institutions that have accompanied us throughout these 40 years and have contributed, in one way or another, to building the story of our company.
Above all, the celebration of our 40th anniversary was an opportunity to recognise the journey we have shared with clients, collaborators, employees, and friends who have placed their trust in us over the past four decades.
