In anticipation of the upcoming Mediterranean Real Estate Exhibition (SIMED) in Málaga, Metros2 magazine, a key reference in the sector, interviewed Jacobo Higuera Mata, Director of Operations at HCP, where he highlights diversification in the real estate market.
In this interview, Jacobo Higuera reviewed 2023 with Metros2, highlighting the collaborations we are undertaking with major international architectural firms, such as our work with Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) for the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre in Seville, or the housing development we are promoting in Gavá alongside UNStudio.
Additionally, Jacobo Higuera took the opportunity to discuss some of HCP’s main projects over the past year. These notably include residential developments (our main line of business), as well as hotel projects, with seven currently in the pipeline. Of these, our Director of Operations highlights the development of the Angsana Real de la Quinta hotel (the first Banyan Tree in Spain), in collaboration with OBMI, and the renovation of the Pinomar hotel (Senator), exemplifying our diversification in the hotel sector.
In this interview, Jacobo Higuera emphasized that HCP’s short- and medium-term roadmap involves “the diversification of the portfolio, both in typological and geographical terms,” as a solid strategy to “mitigate risks and seize emerging opportunities.” To this end, our Director of Operations points out some of the key areas HCP is focusing on: from digital transformation to investment in talent and continuous training, without losing sight of the corporate values that have allowed us to operate for the past 36 years, such as humility, dedication, and effort.
We invite you to read the full interview to gain deeper insight into Jacobo Higuera’s views on other fundamental aspects for HCP, such as the incorporation of new technologies or the development of more sustainable and resilient projects, key elements for our diversification.
Thank you very much to Metros2 for including us in their special SIMED feature!
