A New Boost for Expanding Affordable Housing in Seville

Recently, the Spanish Official Credit Institute (ICO) formalised €73.2 million in financing to support Lagoom Living Sevilla Este. The development will provide 843 affordable rental units and will become the largest project of its kind in Andalusia.
The initiative is being promoted by Lagoom Living in collaboration with the City Council of Seville and Emvisesa. Furthermore, it reflects a public-private partnership model designed to increase the supply of affordable housing.
A Strategic Development for Seville
The project includes the construction of 691 protected housing units and 152 temporary accommodation units. Overall, the total investment amounts to €143 million.
In addition to ICO financing, the development is supported by the Next Generation EU funds. These funds aim to promote new residential solutions that are both affordable and sustainable.
Due to its scale, this initiative ranks among the largest affordable housing developments currently underway in Spain. Moreover, it demonstrates how collaboration between public institutions and private organisations can help create new housing opportunities in areas with strong residential demand.
Architecture in the Service of Affordable Housing
At HCP, we have undertaken the architectural design of this project with a clear objective: to create functional, efficient spaces tailored to the needs of future residents.
To achieve this goal, the proposal incorporates sustainability principles, energy-efficiency strategies, and strong architectural quality standards. In addition, particular attention has been given to the planning of communal and shared spaces.
As a result, the project seeks to create a residential environment that combines accessibility, liveability, and quality of life.
Construction began in July and is currently being carried out by Sacyr. Once completed, the development will be managed by Sogeviso.
