HCP, among the world’s top 100 architecture studios for the third consecutive year

At HCP Architecture & Engineering, we begin 2026 with news that fills us with pride: for the third consecutive year, we have been included in the prestigious WA100 ranking, published annually by Building Design, which recognises the 100 most important architecture practices worldwide.

This recognition, based on criteria such as team size, studio structure and international reach, further consolidates HCP’s position as one of the Spanish practices with the greatest continuity, solidity and global projection.

A recognition in a very special year

Our inclusion in the WA100 2026 comes at a particularly meaningful moment for HCP. We enter this new year following a challenging 2025, marked by the passing of Javier Higuera Yela, founding partner of the firm, whose professional and human legacy remains deeply embedded in our way of understanding architecture.

From this experience, we move into a new stage with responsibility, unity and determination, coinciding with the celebration of our 40th anniversary. Four decades of practice that reflect a way of working rooted in technical rigour, trust in people and the ability to evolve without losing our essence.

The strength of a committed team

This achievement is, above all, a recognition of the team behind every project. Today, HCP is made up of more than 130 professionals, of whom:

  • 70% have grown within our own practice, and
  • More than 50% have been part of HCP for over 12 years.

An unusual level of stability in the sector, which allows us to work with depth, coherence and a long-term vision, combining experience, internal knowledge and a shared culture.

Innovation, digitalisation and artificial intelligence: a continuous evolution

Innovation and digitalisation have long been part of HCP’s DNA. Throughout our trajectory, we have delivered more than 350 projects using BIM methodology, progressively integrating new technological tools into our design and management processes.

Looking ahead to 2026, we are taking a further step by strengthening and expanding the transversal integration of artificial intelligence tools across a wider range of processes within the studio. AI is incorporated as support for our teams, with the aim of streamlining tasks, optimising workflows and improving efficiency, always under the highest standards of quality and technical rigour, which define HCP’s identity.

International growth and consolidation in the Middle East

Over the past year, HCP has continued to strengthen its international presence, with the opening and consolidation of our office in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), one of the most dynamic and promising markets in the global architecture sector.

This new base reinforces our ability to deliver large-scale and complex projects, adding to an international trajectory built over decades across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.

Looking to the future with responsibility and enthusiasm

Being part of the WA100 for the third consecutive year is not only a recognition, but also a responsibility. An incentive to keep moving forward by combining legacy, talent and innovation, in a year that holds special significance for HCP.

We face 2026 with enthusiasm, looking to the future and reaffirming our commitment to continue contributing, through architecture and engineering, to transforming cities and improving people’s lives.
