Hotel Salamansa
The 7.5-hectare plot, located in Salamansa, San Vicente island, Cape Verde, stands out both for its optimal orientation and for its great views, factors that we have tried to enhance in our proposal for the resort, providing both the rooms of the hotel as the main spaces and adapting them to an almost flat topography.
This proposal has a buildable roof area of 24,000 m2, divided between the main body of the hotel and the rooms that are distributed in 4 different types that offer a great variety of typologies.
All rooms were designed with a south, southeast or southwest orientation.
This complex has a large access plaza to the hotel lobby, in the eastern area, when crossing it we find the central plaza that articulates all the hotel’s connections, and has natural elements such as vegetation and water, where they are distributed the restaurants, the main dining room and grill market. Next, in the area most protected from the wind, the south front connected directly to the sandy beach is the main space of the resort hotel where most of the different activities for children and adults are located, such as swimming pools, bar, the mini club, the Wedding Pavilion and garden areas and a path that surrounds the entire complex for walking that also has a bike path, with a sequence of spaces, rest areas, gazebo, pergola, fountain or events square
In the west area we located as an extension of the main dining room another living area formed by natural elements of protection from the wind. In the center of this area a floating bar surrounded by a sheet of water on the wooden floor. And in axis with east in west direction, we propose a natural source with a sculptural event made of native black stone, as an artistic expression in recognition of the nature of the site.
