Cortijo Merino is a residential complex comprising 137 public housing units intended for affordable rental, complete with parking spaces and storage units, located in the SUNC-RT-1 sector of Málaga, next to the University Campus. The project is being developed on plots R-11 and R-12 through two high-rise multi-unit buildings (ground floor + 4 stories), adapted to the conditions of each plot and its urban surroundings.
The proposal is structured around a clear and efficient layout, where the arrangement of the building volumes enhances orientation, natural lighting, and cross-ventilation within the units. The open spaces incorporate common areas and living spaces that enhance residential quality, along with an accessible and functional organization of pathways and entrances.
The complex integrates sustainability and energy efficiency criteria, aligned with the highest environmental standards, establishing itself as a significant project in the development of affordable housing and the urban transformation of Málaga.
