On the occasion of the upcoming MIPIM, the largest real estate fair in the world, Metros2 magazine, a benchmark in the sector, has interviewed Javier Higuera Mata, HCP’s Business Development Director.
In this interview, Javier Higuera highlighted HCP’s leadership in residential architecture by emphasising our figures: since our creation we have delivered more than 57,000 homes, of which 6,000 have been built abroad.
Likewise, our Business Development Director wanted to take stock with Metros2 of the past year, in which the studio focused on consolidating the development of its offices in Madrid and Seville, reinforcing its international positioning from its office in Bahrain and starting to enter new markets, which will make it possible to open new international offices in 2023.
Javier Higuera also took the opportunity to talk about some of HCP’s main projects for 2022, including winning an international competition to design the new headquarters of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre in Seville, which we will carry out together with the Danish studio BIG; the development of more than 600 homes in Málaga’s Z District, one of the city’s most promising neighbourhoods; and the design of the Four Seasons, Pinomar and Angsana hotels (the first Banyan Tree in Spain) on the Costa del Sol.
Javier Higuera has expressed in this interview that one of HCP’s main objectives in the short and medium term is to reinforce its leadership in hotel architecture. To illustrate the studio’s expertise in this field, he gives as a reference some figures that are difficult to achieve for most of the competing studios: more than 4,300 rooms delivered and seven hotels in the pipeline, which makes us one of the Spanish studios with the most experience in this segment.
